Variations of the Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene on the explosion performance of badminton athletes

The appropriate genetic potential of an athlete or prospective determines the development their future performance and achievement reduces risk pathological conditions such as overtraining. This study aimed to determine genotype variation thought play a role in differences exercise results explosive power performance, namely ACE gene. research method used cross-sectional design describe relationship between factor its effects on how mutation variations athlete's physical by involving 54 male female badminton athletes with average age 18 years. was conducted analysing skills same routine, then being given test form vertical jump through Lewis nomogram assessment. initial first month, second after six months. showed significant groups II, ID DD genotypes group better training adaptation than II value (P<0.05). concludes that adapt ID. Athletes mutations gene are more suitable for sports requiring complex movement abilities skills, which require good anaerobic aerobic abilities.
